Project name changed!

I've been contacted by the NAI (Network Associates Inc) stating that sniffer is their registered trademark and asking me to stop using it. Therefore, I'm changing the name of the project. Hopefuly, this will not cause too much confusion. Project homepage is now http://ntal.sf.net, project info is available at http://sf.net/projects/ntal. I'll try to migrate most of the existing project data within next few days.

Introduction

This project is started with the idea to create powerful, highly flexible tool for monitoring network traffic and taking actions if required (logging, updating firewall configuration, etc). This is accomplished by integrating scripting engine, so that user defined functions can be called in response to events supported by the packet capture engine.

The project is in its alpha stage at the moment. Basic skeleton is done and the packet capture engine is operational. There are still lots of things to be done. Same note goes for this site as well :).

As any other open source developer, I'd like to hear from You, so, feel free to send me an e-mail if there is anything you'd like to know or say.

Thank you for your interest in this project,
Marko Zivanovic (sensei@users.sf.net)
